As an American Kennel Club (AKC) certified dog trainer & evaluator, I have completed formal education and training to provide the best possible care for your dog. Along with my certification, I have years of experience working hands on with dogs of all breeds, ages & temperaments. I am dedicated to using proper training techniques to ensure your dog is happy, healthy & obedient.

I have extensive experience in solving behavioral issues such as aggression, leash pulling, destructive behaviors, anxiety and fear. I work hands on with you and your dog to address the root cause of the problem and develop a plan to overcome it.

Dog Gone Smart teaches basic commands such as come, sit, down, stay, place, heel, wait, go and off. Along with addressing any behavioral issues.
Send your dog off to school! My Day Camp program is designed to accelerate your dog's training experience. Allowing your dog to get a full day of training with additional support. Your dog will get a 2 hour hands on training session with a certified trainer. Followed by an in-home lesson to ensure the owners have a good understanding of the do's and don'ts.
Train your dog in the comfort of your own home. Dog Gone Smart offers in-home training sessions. You'll be a part of your dogs training every step of the way!
Dog Gone Smart offers group training lessons which are held every Saturday at 10am. To be eligible for group class your dog must have completed a Day Camp or Private Lesson program . Message for details!
Dog Gone Smart offers weekly pack walks at local metro trails. Enjoy the outdoors with the opportunity to walk with other dogs in a group setting. To be eligible for pack walks your dog must have completed a Day Camp or Private Lesson program . Message for details!

Teach your dog basic commands like come, sit, down, stay, place, heel, wait, go and off with our obedience training programs. My training will also address any behavioral issues you may have with your dog.
As a certified AKC Canine Good Citizen evaluator I'm able to administer the AKC CGC test. The 10 test items on the CGC test are practical, functional behaviors that every dog should have to be welcomed in the community. Message for more information!
Attend an AKC S.T.A.R. Puppy class for at least 6 weeks. Your instructor will administer the AKC S.T.A.R. Puppy test at the end of the course. Upon passing the test, you’ll get an application to send to AKC® for enrollment in the AKC S.T.A.R. Puppy Program. All dogs are welcome to participate in the program including purebreds and mixed breeds.
AKC Community Canine is the advanced level of AKC’s Canine Good Citizen (CGC) program.
As with CGC, AKC Community Canine has a 10-step test of skills that dogs must pass to earn the official AKC Community Canine title. This is a title that appears on the dog’s title record at AKC.
AKC Urban CGC is a title in the Canine Good Citizen family of awards and titles that also include AKC S.T.A.R. Puppy, Canine Good Citizen and AKC Community Canine.
AKC Urban CGC requires that the dog demonstrate CGC skills and beyond in a setting that includes traffic, crowds, noises, smells and other distractions that are present in a city or town. As with Canine Good Citizen, AKC Urban CGC is a 10-step test of skills that dogs must pass to earn the official AKC Urban CGC title. This is a title that appears on the dog’s title record at AKC.
Therapy dogs are dogs who go with their owners to volunteer in settings such as schools, hospitals, and nursing homes. From working with a child who is learning to read to visiting a senior in assisted living, therapy dogs and their owners work together as a team to improve the lives of other people. Therapy dogs are not service dogs. Service dogs are dogs who are specially trained to perform specific tasks to help a person who has a disability.
